From Music to Memoir: Using Jazz to Build Personal Essay

The ability to use creative inspiration outside of your genre can be one of the most powerful tools a writer can have. Using the jazz standard All Blues by Miles Davis, we will explore the layers needed to create a richly crafted personal essay. From developing the core idea of the piece to determining the best creative vehicle for the story, participants will leave with a solid foundation on which to build their own work. ($35)
