TWC presents a FREE VIDEO CHAT about the craft of the essay! We’re joined by poet, essayist, and editor Athena Dixon to talk about her insightful new essay collection, The Incredible Shrinking Woman. Athena will be in conversation with Amy Freeman, writer, essayist, and Development Director at The Writer’s Center.

Drawing upon an unconventional nonfiction storytelling structure derived from the game MASH, Athena Dixon’s debut memoir-in-essays is a nostalgic, compelling journey of self-discovery. Unpacking life’s unexpected experiences, Dixon embarks on a winding, reminiscent road to find the answers to one of humankind’s most pressing questions: Why must I shrink to avoid disruption?

Poets in Pajamas is a free, online reading series run through Facebook Live that connects readers and writers across the world from the comfort of their own pajamas. Readings take place twice per month at 7PM ET and can be found on our Facebook page.

Readers are Ellene Glenn Moore and Athena Dixon. This event will be hosted outdoors, in the backyard of Hilltop Books at 84 Bethlehem Pike. Masks are required for indoor browsing.
